Editor in Chief, Vogue Ukraine
Venya Brykalin was born and raised in Odesa, Ukraine. He started his career in local fashion publications, working in sales and creative. This invaluable experience helped him build a 360-degree understanding of how the industry operates.
After working for a leading fashion brand in Ukraine for three years, he joined the national edition of Vogue as a fashion editor in 2017. Contributing to the title as a stylist and a journalist, he was promoted to fashion director in 2019 before being appointed editor's chief three years later.
In his new role, Mr. Brykalin oversees the publishing of four seasonal print issues as well as numerous satellite projects aimed at promoting Ukrainian art, fashion and culture on the international stage.
He was named among the Business of Fashion’s list of the 500 most influential people in the industry in 2023.
