Architect, Urban Planner and President
Stefano Boeri is professor of urban planning at Politecnico di Milano. He also directs the Tongji University’s Future City Lab, a post-doctoral research program that explores the future of contemporary metropolises from the perspective of biodiversity and urban forestation.
He has served as president of Triennale Milano since 2018 and as chairman of the Scientific Committee of Forestami, the urban forestation project in the Milan metropolitan area, since 2020.
Architect of Milan’s Bosco Verticale, Mr. Boeri’s work ranges from architectural planning and urban visions to design, with a constant focus on the geopolitical and environmental implications of urban phenomena. He is one of the leading players in the climate change debate in the field of international architecture. In 2023, his studio’s “Green Obsession” approach to design received the UN SDG Action Award from the United Nations, winning the Inspire category.
