Pamela Paul is a columnist at The New York Times, where she writes a weekly column on society, culture, ideas, language and politics.
Previously, she was editor of The New York Times Book Review hosted a weekly podcast for The Times for nine years. She is the author of eight books, most recently "100 Things We've Lost to the Internet." She also wrote "Rectangle Time," a book for children, and has two forthcoming picture books for children.
She was a contributor to Time magazine and The Economist, where she wrote a monthly column on global arts trends. She has lived in Thailand, France and England.
