Writer and Broadcaster
Dr. Tiffany Jenkins is a writer and broadcaster. She is the author of the critically acclaimed “Keeping Their Marbles: How Treasures of the Past Ended Up in Museums… and Why They Should Stay There,” described in The Sunday Times as “an outstanding achievement, clear-headed, wide-ranging and incisive.” She is the author of “Contesting Human Remains in Museum Collections: The Crisis of Cultural Authority” and editor of “Political Culture, Soft Interventions and Nation Building.” Her Ph.D. is in sociology and she has held visiting and honorary fellowships at the London School of Economics and the University of Edinburgh.
She is currently writing “Strangers and Intimates: The Rise and Fall of Private Life” and hosts the “Behind the Scenes at the Museum” podcast and presented “The History of Secrecy” for BBC Radio 4. She comments widely on radio and in the broadsheet press.
