Social Media Manager
Mariangela Athanasopoulou is the social media manager at the Democracy & Culture Foundation. She oversees the foundation's digital presence across all social platforms, developing engaging content strategies and managing digital campaigns to amplify the foundation's mission and initiatives.
A political scientist with expertise in communication and marketing, Mariangela brings experience from her role as communication & marketing manager at the Economic Chamber of Greece. Previously, she served as coordinator of the Hellenic Association of Political Scientists. Her background includes freelance social media management and consultant, as well as operational support and news and politics editor.
Mariangela holds a Master's degree in Public Health - Health Services Administration from the Medical School of the University of Crete and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. She has further enhanced her expertise through specialized certifications in digital marketing and leadership.
